Join us Wednesday, January 17th for a special tasting with Frederik Chaudiere (pictured right) of Château Pesquié. The estate, located in the Ventoux region of southern Rhone, has a rich history. Frederik and his brother Alex (both pictured above) make up the third generation, in a family of skilled winemakers, to take control of Château Pesquié. Odette & René Bastide (the maternal grandparents of Frederik and Alex) first acquired the estate in the early 1970's from the heir of a famous Provençal writer, Alphonse Daudet. Now, the two brother's continue their family's legacy of producing exceptional wines that are a true representation of the Ventoux terroir. We will be tasting the following Château Pesquié wines:
2016 Château Pesquié Terrasses Blanc (70% Viognier, 15% Roussane, 15% Clairette)
2014 Château Pesquié Terrasses Rouge (60% Grenache, 40% Syrah)
2014 Château Pesquié Quintessence Rouge (80% Syrah, 20% Grenache)
The cost of the tasting is $10 for general admission, and as always, Soif wine club members taste for free!
