We are thrilled to welcome Britta Roberts of Work Street Wines to Soif! Britta, a Salinas native, followed her love of agriculture to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo upon graduating from high school. There she took part in a study abroad program to Australia. It was her time spent in Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley that ignited her passion for wine. After returning back to California, Britta had difficulty in finding many of the Australian wines she loved. Wanting to share these wines with family and friends is what set her on a path to start importing and distributing wines. Britta’s selections focus on wines that are made by small producers, using minimal intervention winemaking techniques.
Britta will be joining us Thursday August 4th, from. 5pm to 7pm, and will be pouring the following wines:
2020 Astobiza Rosé Hondarrabi Zuri/Hondarrabi Zuri-Zuratie - Txakoli de Alava, Spain
2019 Domaine Ansen Geierstein Riesling - Alsace, France
2019 Phinch Pinot Noir - Edna Valley, California
2020 Slamdance Kooperative Cinsault,/Valdiguie/Negrette - Central Coast, California
2020 Rangeland El Joven Merlot-Petit Verdot - Paso Robles, California
The cost of the tasting is $20 for general admission, $10 for Soif wine club members. TIckets may be purchased below or at the event. We hope to see you there!
