Importer of Georgian wines--from one of the oldest winemaking regions on the planet!

Ever heard of Kvevri (large clay jars that are filled with grape juice, then placed underground for the winter to make wine)?
Did you know that the Republic of Georgia is widely acknowledged as the birthplace of winemaking AND that our word "wine" is thought to have derived from "gvino", the Georgian word for wine?
Neither did we--that is, until Chris Terrell, founder of Terrell Wines, brought these great wines to our attention. Chris fell in love with Georgian wine while traveling through the country and dreamed of one day starting a winery there. That may still be in the plans, but for now this young entrepreneur is focused on importing and introducing these great wines to the west coast. He also imports wines from small producers in France, Italy, Germany and New Zealand. His enthusiasm and friendly manner are unmatched and his excitement about Georgian wine is totally contagious—they have quickly become some of our favorites!
Stop by to meet Chris Terrell and taste the wines between 5-7pm Friday, March 9th.
